Justification:

The electrical and computer engineering department at the University of Duhok was

established on 2006. Since the initiation, the department staff members as well as the

administrative members played an important role in developing a set of courses at all

academic levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, and technical postgraduate) to match the

analogous departments at the prime global universities. After 2 decades following the

department establishment it is a good point to evaluate the work that has been done so far.

Four selected courses will be presented and evaluated.

Objectives:

The main objectives of the workshop are as follow:

1- Present and explore the development of the academic systems followed by the

department over the last 20 years.

2- Explore four different courses at different levels and various types

3- Develop a roadmap to create a suitable process to evaluate all the courses that are

presented by the department at various levels focusing on the undergraduate level

4- Evaluate the coherence that the department has with the accreditation

requirements both nationally and internationally
