  • PhD in Mathematics Teaching Methods, College of Basic Education, University of Duhok, 2022.
  • MA in Mathematics Teaching Methods, School of Education and Psychology, University of Duhok, 2013.
  • BA in Mathematics, College of Basic Education, University of Duhok, 2007.

My experience in university-level teaching is diverse, spanning several departments—including Kurdish Language, Mathematics, and Kindergarten—and has continued from 2013 to the present.

I began by teaching the course "Observation and Practice" in the Kurdish Language Department. In 2014, I taught "Teaching Methods, Administration, and Supervision" in the Mathematics Department, and I continue my academic contributions within the College of Education. Furthermore, I have taught "Scientific and Mathematical Experiences" in the Kindergarten Department (evening program), a course designed to bridge theoretical concepts with practical application, thereby strengthening students' foundational knowledge and skills.

This experience has enabled me to refine my teaching and academic communication skills, while allowing me to address the specific needs of students based on the nature of each discipline and course. It has also deepened my conviction regarding the importance of employing effective pedagogical practices to prepare qualified educators who can serve society.

Research

My research interests focus on mathematics pedagogy and active learning strategies, as well as educational measurement and assessment, with the aim of enhancing instructional practices and improving student learning outcomes.

I place particular emphasis on employing modern approaches—such as problem-solving, cooperative learning, and inquiry-based learning—to simplify abstract mathematical concepts and transform them into interactive learning experiences. My interests also encompass instructional design, the development of mathematical thinking, addressing learning difficulties, and fostering student motivation.

Through these areas of focus, I aim to contribute to the advancement of mathematics education, the improvement of pedagogical practices, and the support of academic and professional development for both educators and students.

Since 2013, I have supervised the graduation projects of fourth-year students at the College of Education, University of Dohuk, with the aim of developing their research skills and enhancing their scientific and pedagogical capabilities. Most of these projects have focused on issues related to mathematics instruction—such as learning difficulties in mathematics, the impact of various teaching strategies on academic achievement and attitudes toward the subject, as well as the evaluation of curricula and teaching methods.

In my academic supervision, I guide students toward selecting real-world research problems from the educational field. I train them in formulating hypotheses, choosing appropriate scientific methodologies, and applying statistical techniques to analyze data and interpret findings. Furthermore, I emphasize the importance of adhering to standards of accuracy, objectivity, scientific originality, and research ethics. This approach helps improve the quality of student research, fosters critical thinking skills, and strengthens the students' ability to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of education.

This academic experience reflects my ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research, elevating the standard of student preparation, and contributing to the advancement of mathematics education and the improvement of pedagogical practices within educational institutions.
