Title of the Seminar: Laboratory Study of Scour in Long Contractions

Summary: The scour study in long contractions was studied experimentally. For this purpose, forty tests were carried out in which two different sand sizes, three different ratios of contractions and three angles of contractions were tested in the experimental program. Data analysis showed that depth of scour is mainly dependent on contraction ratio, densimetric particle Froude number and geometric standard deviation.
