Research Interests

My research focuses on nutritional and physiological interventions that enhance reproductive performance, neonatal vitality, and overall productivity in small ruminants. I am particularly interested in the role of trace minerals and antioxidants in shaping metabolic, behavioral, and reproductive outcomes. Key areas of interest include:

  1. Selenium-Enriched Yeast Supplementation in Ewes:
Investigating how selenium-enriched yeast administered during late pregnancy influences maternal physiology and neonatal behavioral responses at parturition.
  2. Iodine and Selenium Interactions During Late Pregnancy and Early Lactation:
Examining the combined effects of iodine and selenium supplementation on physiological parameters of ewes and the growth, health, and adaptability of their newborn lambs.
  3. Mineral Supplementation and Growth Performance of Lambs:
Assessing how iodine and selenium supplementation affects growth rate, hematological profiles, and biochemical indicators of lambs from weaning to slaughter age.
  4. Maternal Nutrition and Neonatal Biochemical Status:
Evaluating the impact of selenium-enriched yeast provided to ewes during late gestation on serum biochemistry and liver enzyme activity in both ewes and newborn lambs at parturition.
  5. Determinants of Biochemical and Hormonal Variation in Karadi Sheep:
Identifying and analyzing factors that influence serum biochemical markers and hormonal regulation in Karadi sheep under different management and environmental conditions.
  6. Antioxidant Supplementation and Reproductive Efficiency in Goats:
Studying the effects of selenium and vitamin E injections on reproductive performance, fertility outcomes, and endocrine responses in local black goats.
