I am Lawand Kamal, an Assistant Lecturer in the Architectural Engineering Department at the University of Duhok. My academic journey has developed through architectural education, teaching, and research, with my master’s thesis examining the influence of architectural forms on aesthetic response. My current interests include architectural aesthetics, design education, and curriculum development. Alongside teaching, I contribute to accreditation and educational development and serve as faculty advisor to the university’s AIAS chapter. My future ambition is to advance research connecting architectural theory with design practice, strengthen student learning through innovative teaching, and contribute to the development of architectural education and the built environment in Kurdistan.
