On September 6, 2026, within the framework of developing academic relations and upon an official invitation, a delegation from the College of Engineering at the University of Duhok -comprising the Dean of the College and the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department - visited Germany.

During this scientific visit, the University of Duhok delegation met with the President of Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) University in Germany. Discussions focused on establishing a new Double Degree program, alongside reviewing and strengthening the existing Double Degree program in Biomedical Engineering.

On another front, to assess the status of University of Duhok students, our delegation visited both THM University and the global company Siemens Healthineers, where students have been sent for internships and capacity-building training. In this regard, both THM University and Siemens Healthineers expressed complete satisfaction with the academic level and efficiency of the University of Duhok students.

This visit marks an important step toward strengthening international academic cooperation and opening new educational and training opportunities for our college's students.
